Yolanta Lenar is a highly experienced Psychologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. She holds a Master’s degree in Developmental Disabilities and is known for her respectful, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach to care. Lenar is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to achieve meaningful and lasting change.
Throughout her career, Lenar has worked across a wide range of specialist settings, including Mental Health ACT, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Community Services, Disability ACT, Local Support Coordination in NSW, and the non-government sector. More recently, after completing the SCOP program for clinicians, she worked with the Department of Bariatric Medicine, providing individual and group therapy for people living with obesity. As part of a multidisciplinary team alongside consultants, registrars, dietitians, physiotherapists, and exercise physiologists, she supported clients in developing sustainable healthy habits while addressing body image concerns, emotional eating, and disordered eating.
Lenar enjoys working therapeutically with clients experiencing a broad range of emotional, behavioural, and chronic health concerns. She uses evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).
