Dr Cate Ealing

Dr Cate graduated in medicine from the University of Queensland. She then worked as a junior doctor in Brisbane and Canberra before undertaking specialist training in general practice in England. She spent the following 4 years working in psychiatry and completing speciality training in Public health and health services management in New Zealand. On return to Australia, Cate worked for several years in health services management, public health and general practice. In the years prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Cate was working in regional, rural and remote medicine, in the areas of emergency medicine, acute/subacute/palliative inpatient care and hospital in the home care. During the acute phase of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cate worked for the Federal health department tracking, reporting and investigating adverse events reports following Covid-19 vaccination and also in a high risk Covid-19 vaccination clinic operated by Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Cate is delighted to be home again in Canberra with her family and friends, working in general practice, and enjoying all that the ACT has to offer whilst building a new family home.

Cate’s clinical interests are broad. Her approach is holistic and she strives to deliver caring, evidence-based, contemporary best practice care.
